Meet Dudley

I was born in Alexandria Louisiana and grew up in Newport Arkansas after stops in Ft. Smith Arkansas and Jefferson City Missouri. We moved to Newport when I was in the 6^th grade. I spent the next 6 formative years playing with the Ray boys, huntin and fishin with dad, and even managed to play sports and graduate high school.

I started fighting bulls in 1996 and started doing comedy in 2000. I’m still doing both and will continue for as long as I’m having fun. I hope to use rodeo to promote my music and give me material to write about.  Good song writing comes from the heart, an artist really has to connect to give someone chills. I‘ve got to live it to write it.

I guess I’m kind of a throw back to the good ol days when a bullfighter was a rodeo clown and a rodeo clown was a bullfighter. I enjoy stepping around one as well as getting a laugh. Everyone specializes today. I want to do it all. I didn’t grow up around rodeo I had to go and find it. I didn’t get involved in music until I was in college. No one taught me the rules about rodeo or music so I kind of make them up as I go. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I figure if I learn something when it doesn’t I’m still making progress. I hope you enjoy my music and website. Please let me know what you think.
